Were excited to get this bed, but after having it a year now I am totally disappointed. We have two indentations on each side of the bed. We both wake up with back pain that has to wear off through the day only to return upon waking the next morning. We are average size people. We would definitely not recommend this bed to anyone looking for a comfortable "supportive" mattress. It most certainly does not recharge, but rather discharges comfort along with sleep. It also sleeps hot.
We have owned this mattress for 2 weeks now and we like it a lot. It's a medium-firm plush. Great support for the body. Does have a cooling foam/gel layer which is much less chemical than a memory foam mattress. The cooling layer is ok. Bed can still get warm if you sleep warm but not nearly as bad as our last Kingsdown. This mattress has 1000 individually pocketed coils and great overall support/feel. It also has an inch mesh ventilation all the way around the mattress on the top of the sides. There was some serious "off gassing" for the first week but that has disapaited. Overall, I'd say its Mattress Firm's best inner spring mattress. There's a 25 year warranty as well which backs up their mattress. Mattress Firm as a retailer is below average and somewhat shady in their business from negotiations all the way through delivery, but the mattress is the biggest concern. Bottom line: this is a solid mattress. Stay away from pillow tops unless you love super plush-soft and want to risk extreme body impressions. Memory foam is the best support/quality but the foam is all chemicals which can't be good to sleep on every night for 10+ years.
Love this mattress! I agree with James on a few points except that memory foam is all chemicals and bad to sleep on. This mattress also contains memory foam but good quality memory foam is more hypoallergenic than regular poly foam, which is also all chemicals. Great bed though. Go to Denver Mattress to get it if you can though because is costs less there. It's called the Springvale but it is the same bed.
I've had this mattress for just over a month and one side seems to be sunken in. I was away from home for 2 days and it did not "spring back". Additionally, if you get the King size, there is some kind of hard foam divider in the center. Because it's there, the sunken side looks even worse. While I like the non-sunken side, the bed looks very cheap when it is made because it is so lumpy. Watch for getting mattresses from Clearance Center.
