I previously had a Serta Gandis Pillowtop for two years and starting felling like I was sinking in and it felt like climbing a hill to roll over...I been having pains in my neck and right shoulder that would shoot down my right arm and make my arm feel numb...I thought it may be the mattress so I purchased the Contour Sig. after I laid on it for 10 minutes at the store and could not be happier..From what I heard this is simular to the old popular delux model but with an extra 2 inches of tempur material added to it..I am 6'1and weigh 265 and don,t sink in,..However it does conform to my body just right and is ten times better than any of those cheap asian memory foam mattress that are not even tempature sensitive....I did not smell any odor at all from day one...If you are shopping for a temper mattress you have to just lay on the Contour Sig. and you will notiice it has good support with about 4 inches of strong but conforming soft top layer...They say it is firm but I think it is much softer than the raphsody bed...I must warn that it took me about 2 weeks to get use to the different feel of a memory foam mattress..The first two nights I woke up twice because it was a little firm on top but once the cells break in it is plush and perfect...I would highly reccomend that you get the ergo base and the comfort pillows with this bed..

I've wanted a tempur-pedic for a few years, slept on one at my niece's house two or three times...we purchased one a week ago, they say it takes three months...the smell is terrible, don't know how long it will take to go away, we can't walk all over it because we are in an RV and we just don't have the room to do that. I've opened the windows, used a fan, sprayed, but living in Arizona, it's hot air....my husband has had to get up in the middle of the night, with hip pain, he doesn't like the bed...I'm not sure now if I made a big expensive mistake.We have the firm. I'm very disappointed in this mattress.

I hurt my back last year. Our last mattress was 15 years old and was making my back worse. After a lot of research we decided to try the tempur-pedic brands. After trying each of the mattresses over several hours we decided on the Signature. It took about a month to get use to the mattress and for the packing smell to go away. This was the best purchase that we could make. My back is greatly improved. I sleep the entire night and I do not feel when my husband moves around or gets out of the bed. It is a bit pricey but well worth the cost.
