Mattress Firm Takes Action on World Pancreatic Cancer Day
The Wold Pancreatic Cancer Coalition reports that more than 1,000 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. For more than a decade, Mattress Firm has been an advocate for awareness, early detection and research about this terrible disease that is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States.
Today, on World Pancreatic Cancer Day, Mattress Firm employees across the country have been encouraged to wear purple to show their support for this cause. Mattress Firm will also be making a donation of $375,000 that has been raised over the last year to a fund that supports clinical trials and the researchers who have dedicated themselves to finding a cure for this extremely serious form of cancer that affects families around the world. This donation will be made to the Translational Genomics Research Institute through the Ticket to Dream Foundation.
