We’re working hard to stand by those who are in need in the aftermath of these devastating hurricanes. Here are answers to a few questions we’ve received about our relief efforts:

  1. What is Mattress Firm doing to help victims of Hurricane Harvey?

    Mattress Firm took action to help not only our employees, but the larger community as well. We worked directly with local non-profits to help distribute $6 million worth of product to those impacted by the storms – nearly 12,000 beds and bedding accessories. In Southeast Texas, we worked with Houston Furniture Bank, Ecclesia Church, GraceBridge Church and BakerRipley. In Florida, we worked with two main organizations: The Mustard Seed of Central Florida and Bridge To Hope.

    Stores in Texas also served as drop off locations for essential items, and we distributed those to shelters and local organizations.
  2. My mattress was damaged during the hurricanes. Can I get a mattress from Mattress Firm?

    We partnered with the Houston Furniture Bank to distribute mattresses to families that were affected by Hurricane Harvey and with The Mustard Seed of Central Florida for those affected by Hurricane Irma. Please contact these organizations directly with more information about your need.
  3. How do I make a bulk purchase to help families affected by the hurricane?

  4. I’m currently financing a mattress that was lost/destroyed in Hurricane Harvey. What should I do?

    We encourage you to reach out to the finance company you are working with, as they are offering disaster assistance and emergency relief for guests who are in need. Below we have listed our finance partner’s phone numbers for your convenience.
  5. Are water or flood damages covered by the manufacturer’s warranty?

    Unfortunately, manufacturer warranties do not cover water or flood damage.
  6. How is Mattress Firm supporting employees affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma?

    We are staying in close contact with our team in the areas where Harvey has hit hard and doing what we can to help. We’ve heard devastating accounts of lost homes and cars from our team, and we are all witnessing the widespread devastation on the national news. Here is what we are doing to help our team affected by the storms:
    • Members of our HR team, field leadership and other volunteers personally called every one of our team members in the impacted areas to make sure they were okay, and understand the impact on their families and homes.
    • We started an employee assistance fund and donated the first $25,000, eventually raising more than $300,000 for affected employees to help them rebuild their lives.
    • We enhanced our PTO donation program to give those affected extra time to take care of their families and their homes.
    • For our team members who work at stores and offices that are closed due to weather, we authorized disaster pay to ensure that they won’t face additional financial hardships.
