The 4 Most Common Complaints About Mattresses

sleepy girl_blog_640x400

At Mattress Firm, we talk to hundreds of thousands of mattress shoppers every year. Typically, a guest comes in to one of our stores because there is something wrong with their current mattress. We hear your complaints, and we're here to help!

Here are the most common gripes that we here in-store, and some of our advice to solve them, so that you can get the sleep you've been searching for at a price that won't break the bank.

My mattress is just too old.

Sometimes, there's not just one thing wrong with your mattress — it feels like everything is wrong because your mattress is just old. Maybe it's worn out here and there, there's a particular spot where it divots inward, it's no longer the right size, or the technology is outdated. Some customers claim, "My mattress just sucks!"... trust us, we've heard it all. We know all about old mattresses and the pain and frustration they're giving people by not providing a comfortable, supportive night's sleep. So, instead of waiting until your mattress is old enough to get a driver's license, consider upgrading on a more regular basis.

My mattress is too small.

Another complaint we hear is that customers are sleeping on a mattress that is too small for their needs. Outgrowing a mattress can make your last purchase feel like a ripoff, but it doesn't have to. If you keep your eyes out for a good deal, you can find great ways to save on  your sleep sanctuary. At Mattress Firm, your budget stretches further — we want you to get your best nights sleep, at prices you won't find anywhere else.

Our advice to avoid this complaint in the first place is to try and think through how life might change in the years ahead. It might make more sense than you think to go ahead and get one size larger, in order to save yourself the frustration of dealing with a too-small bed in a few years.

My mattress doesn't adjust.

Have you recently heard about all the awesome benefits of having an  adjustable base? Well, people keep coming in and asking how they can get one of their own. We couldn't agree more — an adjustable base is the best accessory for a late night binge-watching session.

The mattress I want is out of my budget.

This is a common complaint from someone who hasn't been into one of our stores yet — price can be a sticking point that can keep someone from investing in their rest. The thing is, at Mattress Firm, you don't have to spend a lot in order to get a lot. And, right now we're offering a huge deal to make sure you can sleep on the mattress of your dreams. At Mattress Firm, a good night's sleep is within reach — and budget.

Happy snoozing!
