Cleaning a mattress is a simple step-by-step process. First, remove all bedding and covers to wash separately. Then, use the upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner to thoroughly vacuum the entire surface of the mattress, paying special attention to seams, crevices and edges. Then, spot-clean stains where needed using different solutions depending on the stain type. Once the mattress is clean, sprinkle a generous layer of baking soda over the surface to deodorize. After a few hours (ideally overnight), vacuum the mattress thoroughly to remove all residue.
