The Purple Original Mattress delivers the core Purple experience by balancing comfort and support in one clean, responsive design. Its GelFlex Grid cradles pressure points while staying supportive across your body shape, helping you relax into a more restorative night.
On top, a 2 inch GelFlex Grid adapts as you move, so you get cushioning where you need it and steady support where you do not. The open air spaces in the grid help draw heat away from your body, creating a more comfortable sleep environment.
Under the grid, the Comfort Core uses two foam layers to create a more stable feel with less bounce, which can help limit motion transfer if you share the bed. If you are deciding between comfort levels or want help matching your sleep style, Mattress Firm can help, because we make sleep easy.

The Purple Mattress does not come in a box. We ship Purple Mattresses in a sturdy bag instead of a box! Our bag is weather resistant, waterproof, and includes handles for more accessible transportation.
The 2” layer of Hyper-Elastic Polymer™ flexible gel material is extremely durable and hypoallergenic, and instantly adapts to your body and sleep position for personalized, no-pressure support. It cradles your hips and shoulders while firmly supporting your back’s natural shape.
Medium-density support foam offers you pressure relief and added support underneath the Purple Grid™ technology. The high-density base foam keeps your mattress fully supported and also has edge support for added durability.
The SoftFlex™ breathable stretch-knit cover lets you melt into your bed while promoting healthy airflow that keeps your mattress fresh and dry.
All those little squares easily let air flow and body heat escape. Plus, the GelFlex material itself doesn't retain heat, so if you want to stay cool, you can.
The Purple Grid will absorb pressure and isolate motion. This means you won't feel your partner if they toss and turn throughout the night.
