8 Questions You Didn’t Know You Should Ask Your Mattress Sales Associate

There are many ways to shop these days: in-store, online or through easily-accessible apps. Whether it's the ability to test and actually feel a product, get advice from a store team member or scope out your options in person, you choose to shop in store for a specific reason. The same goes when mattress shopping, you want to be able to lay on to the mattress, review your options and, most importantly, turn to the experts to answer any questions you may have. For these reason, we suggest visiting a Mattress Firm location near you, so you can do just that.

In addition to the questions you might already have lined up, here are a few more to ask a Mattress Firm employee when selecting your next bed as you stroll the store.

  1. What are my mattress options?

    There are many different mattress brands, sizes and comfort levels, so the selection can be limitless. The Mattress Firm employee that helps you knows the inventory inside and out, so they can help you narrow your selection down and help you get started buying a mattress.

  2. Can I test the mattress out?

    Flop on the different mattresses, roll around, get comfy, lay on each mattress as you would at home to get an idea for how it will feel for you. Don't be shy! When visiting a Mattress Firm location, we want you to get comfortable and relax, in bed.

  3. What is your mattress recommendation for my specific needs?

    Make your mattress consultant aware of any specific sleep needs you may have – this can be in regards to pain, favorite sleep position, mattress firmness preference or simply which side of the bed you prefer to sleep on. Based on the information you have shared, ask them what they think is the best mattress option for you.The team members know the latest bed technology, specific product features and so much more to assist in guiding you towards what will be best mattress for your unique sleep health.

  4. What kind of mattress do you sleep on?

    Ask the Mattress Firm associate what kind of mattress they have in their own home and what features help them sleep better. They may have some key insights from personal sleep experience that can help guide your mattress buying decision.

  6. What else will I need to purchase with my mattress to “sleep happy"?
