All the foams we’ve used to create the Nectar Mattress meet CertiPUR-US® standards for content, emissions, and durability, and are analyzed by independent, accredited laboratories. Nectar’s foams are free of ozone depleters, TCEP flame retardants, mercury, lead, heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates. Our foams have also shown low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality.

For spills and light accidents, we recommend spot cleaning the cover as soon as the spill or stain occurs with a damp cloth and mild detergent or hand soap taking care not to let liquid reach the underlying foam layers. For bigger or deeper set stains, an upholstery or spot cleaner or cleaning device would work well but we do not recommend removing the mattress cover entirely as the underlying foam mattress layers may get damaged in the process. If you do remove the cover, we strongly advise against moving the mattress, adding any liquids or other environmental substances to it or in any way disturbing the foam layers if the cover is off. Removing the cover will also void all warranties. Keeping the cover intact will help protect the integrity of the mattress so that you may enjoy amazing sleep for years to come. For an easier method of keeping your mattress clean we strongly advise the use of a stain and water-resistant mattress protector (such as the ones we have available for purchase on our site) which may be removed and laundered from time to time and will keep your Nectar mattress in tip top condition!

Nectar is plush but highly supportive. We’d rate the Nectar at a 6.5 on a 1-10 scale if 1 is a feather pillow and 10 is a cement floor. Nectar is designed for perfect long term support with true top layer comfort.

We designed the Nectar to provide consistent and firm support edge to edge. Unlike some traditional spring mattresses that can sag or dip at the edge or in the middle--wherever you consistently put a lot of weight--Nectar’s amazing foam technology means that it always gives a consistent and perfect firmness, from the outer corners right up to the middle.

Nectar foams are of exceptional quality and off-gassing is usually very limited or non-existent. Should there be a faint smell of foam upon opening, this should dissipate quickly, and is simply the smell of the new foam as it expands.

In the unlikely event your mattress shows signs of compression or impression, no need to worry since Nectar’s Forever Warranty™ has you covered! If a verified impression of 1.5 inches or more is found on your Nectar mattress, we will either repair or replace your Nectar for free! If you experience this, simply reach out to our customer success team and they can help you through the warranty claim submission process. A good mattress should be around 11 to 15 inches thick. Depending on the combination of foams, coils, latex, and covers, mattresses will vary in height. The thickness can affect how plush and supportive your mattress feels, and we here at Nectar have found that the ideal thickness for our mattress is 12 inches to achieve ideal comfort, softness, and support. We’ve used multiple layers of premium foams to build the most comfortable mattress imaginable. We found that a great mattress should be at least 11 inches thick, with luxury mattresses usually being around 15 inches.
