February really is the best time of year to snuggle up with a loved one, and it’s not just because of Valentine’s Day. Those winter temps tend to keep us chilly and looking for something — or someone — to snuggle with to stay warm. So, if you're looking to snuggle up and wondering about what different couple sleeping positions mean, we're here to help you out.

Mattress Firm conducted a survey to find out how many couple sleep positions most people test out and what it takes to get to the comfort zone with your partner. You know, that period when you're dating, but not quite in the relationship comfort zone yet (i.e allowing a significant other to take care of you while sick, not wearing makeup, showering at each other's houses kind-of-comfort.)

Surprisingly, we found that it takes the average couple about four and a half months before sharing a bed for the first time. But the good news is that it's worth the wait! Half of survey respondents said their quality of sleep improves when they're with their partner, and 70 percent of respondents say they don't miss sleeping alone.

We've compiled a list of some of the most popular couple sleeping positions to better explain what your snoozing position says about your relationship. Let's see what your couple sleeping style says about you and your boo!

You may be wondering, what is is the best sleeping position for couples? The truth is, just like finding the perfect bed, there's not a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to couple sleeping positions. It depends on your personal comfort but just make sure you both agree on what side of the bed you sleep on — many couples find this to be a relationship deal-breaker.

While there may be differing opinions about the most comfortable sleeping positions for couples, one thing is for sure: it can take quite a bit of snuggle testing to find the right one for you.
