What to look for in full-size memory foam mattresses

The best full-size memory foam mattress for you can offer the right balance of comfort, support and value for your sleep needs.

1. Firmness And Feel

Memory foam mattresses are available in a range of firmness levels, from plush to firm. Consider your preferred sleep feel and how well the mattress supports your body and keeps your spine aligned.

2. Pressure Relief

Look for memory foam that contours to your body to help relieve pressure around your shoulders, hips and lower back. This can be especially important for side sleepers or anyone who prefers a more cushioned feel.

3. Motion Isolation

Memory foam is known for absorbing movement, which can help reduce sleep disruptions when sharing a full-size mattress. Consider a design with strong motion isolation if you or your sleep partner frequently change positions during the night.

4. Cooling Features

Some memory foam mattresses can retain heat, so look for breathable covers, cooling fibers or temperature-regulating materials if you tend to sleep warm. A ventilated foam design may also promote better airflow throughout the night.
